KiwiRail’s Interislander ferry links road and rail networks between New Zealand’s North and South islands.
We currently operate two ferries that cross the strait a combined total of 2500 times a year.

Each year, we carry around 180,000 passengers on our scenic train journeys under the brand Great Journeys of New Zealand.
