Changes to Wellington Metro services this evening

10 August 2011

As a result of staff illness and training commitments for a number of our Locomotive Engineers, Tranz Metro wishes to advise that there will be a temporary peak timetable this afternoon in order to get passengers to their destination with as little disruption as possible.

The scheduled timetable is replaced by 20 minute services on the Hutt Valley and Waikanae lines. These services will stop at all stations and will have extra capacity where possible.

Buses will replace all services on the Melling line between 3pm and 7pm and will depart from Platform 9 at Wellington Railway Station.

The Wairarapa line will be running to timetable. The Johnsonville line will also be running to timetable, except for the 6:02pm service which will be replaced by bus.

More information can be found on the Tranz Metro website. Text message alerts will also be issued.

We would like to apologise to our customers for this inconvenience.
