A purpose bigger than ourselves

Our purpose is bigger than ourselves. It is a rallying call for how we do business each day. Our teams are anchored in the belief that a more connected New Zealand is better for everyone – communities, visitors and business.

KiwiRail united behind this purpose as we rebuilt the Main North Line railway between Picton and Christchurch within two years of the devastating Kaikoura earthquake.

We are driven by this purpose as we showcase New Zealand’s spectacular scenery to more than a million visitors each year.
