Connecting communities across Aotearoa New Zealand
Through our Great Journeys New Zealand and Interislander brands we help uplift the people, places, and projects that in turn support our communities.
Our Community Support Programme provides travel vouchers that make it easier for groups to fundraise, take part in events, and celebrate their achievements.
This support is guided by three pillars:
- Environmental action – supporting planting days, community clean-ups, restoration projects, waste reduction initiatives, and environmental education.
- Youth travel and education – helping schools, sports teams, youth development programmes, and outdoor education groups reduce barriers to learning, travel and connection.
- Adventure and exploration – supporting outdoor clubs, community events, adventure programmes, and recreational initiatives that inspire connection through shared experiences.
We donate over $100,000 in community support every year.
We give priority to communities located near our Interislander terminals in Wellington and Picton and railway stations connected by our scenic train services.
