ALCAM

The Australian Level Crossings Assessment Model (ALCAM) is the primary assessment tool for level crossings in New Zealand.

Adopted in 2014, the model identifies where safety improvements can be made.  It has an increased emphasis on prevention.

Information about individual level crossings is available on the link below. Please note, the information displayed in the map is indicative only.  It is made available in good faith but its accuracy or completeness is not guaranteed. Some layers of information can only be accessed by parties authorised by KiwiRail and may be password-protected.
