KiwiRail Director Liz Ward has resigned from the Board.
“Liz has made a significant contribution to KiwiRail since her appointment to the Board in May 2023, and we thank her for all that she has brought to the company,” Board Chair Sue Tindal said today.
“As an Australian-based director, carrying out the role has required a considerable commitment by her.
“Strong governance is essential to meeting expectations for improved safety and performance, value for money and stewardship of public assets, and Ms Ward provided the Board with extensive operational, contracting and commercial expertise gained across a diverse range of industries including large-scale infrastructure, rail, transport, fisheries and telecommunications,” Ms Tindal said.
Ms Ward’s resignation is effective immediately.
