The Operational Safety & Compliance Team supports KiwiRail’s national approach to rail safety by monitoring rule compliance, carrying out safety observations, and promoting safe work practices across the rail network.
This team works alongside Corridor Access, Protection, and Learning & Development to ensure operational safety standards are consistently applied.
The team may also carry out safety observations for third‑party works and provide guidance on safe behaviour, site practices, and rule adherence.
